King West Village Lofts
King West Village has been hailed as Toronto's answer to New York City's ultra-trendy SOHO district. Until recently, it was known for being a derelict industrial locale until some enterprising developers moved into the area and began converting these old buildings into open concept loft spaces and condominiums. These early loft developments drew in young professionals who worked downtown, but were looking for affordable and spacious accomodations, while remaining close to the action associated with urban living.
Since then, the community of mature and trendy young professionals has evolved the area into a popular destination for like-minded people from all over the Greater Toronto Area. Fine dining, upscale lounges and nightclubs cater to this demographic which has been responsible for the rejuvenation of a prime location within downtown Toronto.
Below is a list of profiles for lofts located in King West Village, starting from Spadina Avenue at the east end to Dufferin Street at the west end of King Street. Developments within one to two blocks north or south of King Street are also considered to be part of King West Village.
